Marbella is
a city situated 50 km from Málaga,
but also a municipality.The municipality
extends from Cabopino to Guadalmina and it’s
27 kilometres of coastline boasts 24 sunny beaches.
The mayor urbanisation's from east to west: Elviria,
Las Chapas, El Rosario, Marbella, Puerto Banús,
Nueva Andalusía and San Pedro de Alcántara.
Marbella,
home of the rich and beautiful, well known for it's
weather and beaches, and one of the most famous holiday
destinations in Spain, is a marvelous city. The old
town has been preserved and still looks like what
an Andalucian town on the sea would look like. While
walking through it's narrow streets, filled with the
perfume and colour of its flowers and plants one can
stop off to do some shopping. This historical part
of Marbella is also an excellent shopping area. A
fabulous range of restaurants serving every style
of food from delicious tapas to creative International
fare can be found around every corner. The Marbella
"Paseo Maritimo" promenade follows
the coastline of Marbella town for 6 kilometres, with
almost 2 kilometres laid in marble stone. This small
city, at the Mediterranean seashore, surprises its
visitors with its huge variety of aspects and the
characteristics of the daily life.
Puerto Banús
and Nueva Andalusía is situated
6 kilometres west of Marbella city. Puerto Banús
or Puerto José Banús is the main port
of Marbella's three marinas. This is the place to
be pampered yacht side and ogle those fabulous luxury
yachts while sipping a drink at one of the many open
air restaurants and bars, a Mecca to shopping, exclusive
dining and nightlife.
Nueva Andalucía
is a well thought out and attractive area and as its
name suggests, the villas and apartments are based
on traditional Andalusian architecture and design.
Aside from recreational, sport and commercial facilities,
Nueva Andalucía has several schools, including
the international Aloha College. It is also home to
one the Costa del Sol's two casinos.
San Pedro de Alcántara
10 km west of Marbella, is a refreshingly unspoilt
pueblo with an appeal all of its own. This is probably
the most typical Spanish town left on the Costa del
Sol, kept very clean with a central shopping area,
quiet parks, squares and beautiful gardens.
